Attaching the ESCs

An ESC (Electronic Speed Control) is a device that control the speed of a brushless electric motor. It is essencial for the control and stability of the multirotor. Each motor will have its own ESC attached to the arm between the motor and the Power Distribution Board.

The ESC need to be firmly mounted so it won't fall off or become disconnected. It should also be protected from damage by vibration. To achieve this I'll use soft double-sided velcro and stripes of foam rubber.

First attach a stripe of self-adhesive velcro ("soft" or "loop" side) to the top of the ESC. It is only there to stop the ESC from moving in and out along the arm, not to hold it in place.

Secondly, thread two double-sided velcro stripes through the arm latticework with the soft side out.

Finaly, put two foam-stripes on each side of the velcro in the middle, put the ESC in place and close the velcro-stripes tightly.
